Masters Photography is located in Flint, Michigan. We are in our 29th year of providing the best photography for our discriminating clients. We have been at our current location for 16 years. We are constantly adding to our offerings to deliver the best in creativity and value to the people of Michigan.
About David Humphrey
David has always been interested in the arts and started developing his photographic style while earning his BFA from Anderson University. He taught the darkroom portion of the photography class, and was involved in many independent studies that expanded his knowledge about photography, alternative processes and the creative arts. One of his figure studies even received the Best of Show award at the Art In Anderson Exhibition, in 1982.
All this has led to David Humphrey to be at the forefront of the digital evolution in this area and to his continued exploration and creation of creative processes.
His images are recognized far and wide for their imagination and creativity.
Awards & Competitions
The photography, art and vision of David M. Humphrey has been the recipient of numerous awards. He has been ranked among the top ten photographers, and master photographers, in Michigan since 1993.
Kodak and Fuji Film USA have recognized Mr. Humphrey’s artistic vision by awarding him their highest honors, the Kodak Gallery Award, and the Fuji Masterpiece Award. He has been awarded eight Kodak Gallery Awards and two Fuji Masterpiece Awards since 1995.
David’s images have been displayed at Epcot Center, and featured in traveling exhibits that have circled the globe. His image have been published in numerous magazines both here in the U.S. and internationally.
The Professional Photographers of Michigan have awarded him numerous Best of Show awards and Court of Honor awards for his creativity and vision.
David Humphrey has also been been presented with the Professional Photographers of Michigan Service Award, and is currently the highest awarded photographer in Michigan for his service to the association and profession of photography.
David has received top awards from the Senior Portrait Artists, including the coveted Seniors Choice award!
He has also received numerous first place awards, in Class A, from Senior Photographers International.
Organizations and Associations
Professional Photographers of America
David has been a member of the Professional Photographers of America since 1992, and holds the degrees of Master Photographer, and Photographic Craftsman.
Professional Photographers of Michigan
David has been a member of the Professional Photographers of Michigan since 1992. He currently serves on the board of directors, and will be the Vice President in 2010.
Senior Portrait Artists
SPA is recognized as the premiere association for High School Senior Photographers. Mr. Humphrey has been a featured instructor at the national convention since 2005.
Michigan Triangle Professional Photographers Association
Is a past president of the Michigan Triangle Professional Photographers Association. He was instrumental in leading MTPPA to financial strength and being recognized as one of the premiere organizations in Michigan and America.
Contemporary Photographers Society
Mr. Humphrey was asked to join CPS back in 1999. This elite group of professional photographers encompasses 60 of the top professionals from around the country, and is by invitation only.
Michigan Photographers Society
David was asked to join the prestigious Michigan Photographers Society. MPS is believed to be the oldest professional photography group in the U.S.. Membership is by invitation only.
