Ordering Appointment
We have set aside time for your Premiere Show and ordering appointment. We’ve allowed plenty of time for you to order and answer questions.
It is very important that Mom and/or Dad be present at this appointment when the order is placed. They deserve to know exactly what you’re getting, especially if they’re helping to pay for your portraits.
If an additional viewing appointment is needed, there is a $45.00 fee for storage space on the server.
Yearbook Portrait
A retouched wallet is made free of charge, providing it is a pose that you have ordered finished portraits from. If you select a different pose, the charge for a retouched yearbook portrait is $35.
Orders placed less than 15 working days before your yearbook deadline will carry a $50 RUSH FEE. Yearbook portraits can’t be delivered without a retainer to be applied towards a future order ($520 minimum). You will be notified when your yearbook picture is ready so that you may deliver it to your yearbook advisor. That way it can’t get “lost in the mail.”
Payments
When your order is placed, you may pay it in full, or make a payment of 75% of the balance. This will be applied towards your order. NOTE: final payments must be paid in cash or with a VISA or MASTERCARD.
Mom or Dad should accompany their student. The balance is due before any images may be picked up, including the yearbook picture.
How to Order Your Senior Portraits
Poses
Select your favorite poses. You and your parents may choose the poses that each of you like.
Keep in mind, minor facial imperfections such as blemishes and smile lines may show on your previews but they can be removed or softened for your finished portraits.
Create-A-Package
The Create-A-Package was designed to offer you the most variety of choices.
Most people prefer a 16×20 for the “Head and Shoulder” or “Waist Up” poses. If you prefer “Full length” or “2/3 (cropped just above the knees)” poses, most people find the 20×24 or larger to be the most appropriate size.
Masters Portrait Finish
Decide which portrait finish is best for you. When you want the best, select the Masterpiece (linen/canvas finish). The Classic Lustre finish is a lacquer coating and is our most popular finish, suitable for gift giving.
Wallet Portraits
Estimate how many wallet portraits you’ll need for friends, family, graduation announcements, college and/or job applications.
The average number of wallet portraits:
Girls is 250 – 600
Guys is 150 – 400
These figures take into account that most seniors send out 100 announcements. Your needs could exceed these numbers depending on your student’s popularity, the size of your student’s school, and involvement in extracurricular activities. For the best wallet prices, order an extra unit of each pose.
Please keep in mind that the best prices are available at the time you make your initial order.
What’s Included…
Retouching
The images from which you order finished portraits (5×7 and larger) are carefully retouched to remove blemishes and soften facial lines. Wallet retouching (wallets only pose) is $17.00 per pose.
Mounting
Every portrait (5×7 and larger) is mounted to sturdy art board for durability and longevity.
Lacquering
Your finished portraits are given our Classic luster finish; a tough acrylic protective coating to seal them from harmful ultraviolet rays and the elements. (This service not available on 4×5 originals.)
Frames
All portraits (11×14 and larger) come framed and ready to be proudly displayed in your home. Category “A” frames are included on 14 inch and larger portraits. Framing upgrades are available. Glass isn’t needed to protect the images due to the lacquer coating.
Other options …
Artwork
Retouching will not get rid of glass glare, braces, tan lines, shiny spots, wrinkled clothing, stray hairs, or other “non-skin” problems. This can best be achieved through computer enhancement. Body modifications are also available. The minimum charge for this work starts at $35.00 per pose. Please ask for a quote.
Masterpiece finish
For the ultimate presentation add our museum quality canvas finish.
Names on Wallets
We do not gold stamp names on wallets, as it can damage them. If you would like your name printed on your wallets, there is a setup charge of $17.00 per pose.
Create-A-Package
Create-A-Package is unique to Masters Photographics. We don’t force you to buy premade packages, like other studios do. They force you to buy what they want to sell, not what you need! We have implemented this system to let you design a package that is just what you want.
The portraits are offered in “Units”. Simply select the poses that you like, then decide what you want to order from each pose. It’s that easy!
What exactly is a ‘Unit’?
A unit is a piece of photographic material upon which we can make; 1 – 8×10, 1 – 5×7, or 8 – wallets (of one pose).
